The Benedictine Volunteer Corps (BVC), founded by Saint John’s Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota, offers Saint John’s University graduates a transformative year of volunteer service. Rooted in Benedictine values and spirituality, volunteers live and work in Benedictine monasteries worldwide, supporting their mission of prayer, community, and service. Since its inception, the BVC has empowered over 350 men to dedicate their talents to addressing the diverse needs of 26 Benedictine communities across the globe. This unique program fosters a deep connection to the Catholic monastic tradition while providing meaningful contributions to religious communities around the world.
